Melee weapons are short-ranged weapons which take up the third weapon slot in Blackwake, and are used for hand-to-hand combat, usually when the primary and secondary requires reloading. Your melee can be accessed by pressing 3 or using the scroll wheel.
Melees do not require ammunition or reloading. Pressing M1 will attack, while pressing M2 will perform a block, which prevents enemies attacking you with melee weapons from the front.
Blackwake currently has 6 melee weapons available: Axe, Bottle, Cutlass, Dagger, Pike, Rapier,
Melee Weapon[ | ]
Two Handed Axe[ | ]

Two Handed Axe is a two-handed melee weapon, with a long wooden handle attached to a steel axe-head.
Axe can kill an enemy player in two hits, can be swung once every second, and its attack has a high chance to inflict bleeding on its victim. The Axe swings more slowly than the Cutlass, but makes up for this with its superior damage and bleeding chance. |
Broken Bottle[ | ]

The Bottle is a melee weapon used to inflict damage and a chance of bleeding on your enemies. It has the lowest damage, reach, and attack speed in the game, but an elevated bleed chance. |
Cutlass[ | ]

The Cutlass is a long, heavy slashing sword with a slightly curved blade.
Cutlass can kill an enemy player in three hits, you can swing it once every second, and its attack has a high chance to inflict bleeding on its victim. Although it does more damage and has better reach than the Rapier, its attacks are slower. |
Dagger[ | ]

The Dagger is a knife used to inflict damage and a chance of bleeding on your enemies. The fastest melee weapon in the game, but has less damage and reach than the Cutlass and Rapier. |
Boarding Pike[ | ]

The Boarding Pike is a two-handed melee weapon, with a very long wooden handle attached to a steel spearhead.
Pike can kill an enemy player in four hits, and can make a stab once every second. However, it cannot cause bleeding at all. The Pike stabs more slowly than the Cutlass can swing, but makes up for this with its superior range. |
Rapier[ | ]

The Rapier is a thin but sharp straight sword, with an elaborate basket hilt.
It takes four hits to kill an enemy player, and swings once every 0.9 seconds, with a chance to cause bleeding on hit. Worse reach and lower damage than the Cutlass, but slightly faster swings. |
